Alina Girshovich is a cultural strategist and independent curator who works with organizations and individuals to develop concepts, content, and strategies, and produce creative ways to engage diverse audiences.

Her curatorial practice includes site-specific installations with a focus of bringing the experience of contemporary art to audiences in unexpected spaces. With a background in music and an interest in architecture, her work frequently explores the intersection of space and time-based media, particularly sound. She is the curator and producer of Out of Silence, a sound installation by Hans Rosenström at the Louis Kahn-designed Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park on Roosevelt Island in New York City. Previous projects in New York include It’s Complicated, Is Possibly Art at 1014, and Assembly Required, a multi-site experience in Gowanus. She holds a degree from Columbia University, where she previously managed an arts engagement program, and is a CPR (Curatorial Program for Research) advisory board member. She has also worked as an editor and writer, and has contributed to publications and artist monographs.
